Get to know the heart behind the practice
Meet Dr. Jennifer Crumbaugh, D.D.S.
Born in New York City and raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Dr. Jennifer Crumbaugh has always combined curiosity, compassion, and drive in everything she does. A proud "Rock Chalk" fan with a gift for science and math, she pursued her undergraduate degree at Washburn University before earning her doctorate at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2014. Her path into dentistry started with a desire to support her family, and grew into a deeply personal mission to help others thrive through healthier smiles.
Before dental school, Dr. Crumbaugh gained valuable experience as an orthodontic assistant and with Smiles Change Lives, shaping her understanding of long-term care and empathetic service. Today, she brings that same passion into every exam, procedure, and conversation with her patients.
Known for her thoughtful approach, Dr. Crumbaugh loves seeing patients of all ages, whether she's helping a child feel confident about their first cleaning, teaming up with specialists for a teen’s orthodontic care, or restoring an adult’s smile with crowns and bridges. Her favorite part of the job? Building relationships that last, getting to know families, sharing in their milestones, and delivering care that’s just as consistent and trustworthy as it is effective.
Outside the practice, Dr. Crumbaugh lives in Lee’s Summit with her husband (a pilot who made a career change mid-life), their daughter Cameron, and frequent visits to their son Quintin, who studies physics at Colorado College. She’s a lover of Disney trips, home-cooked meals, early bedtimes, and all things Taylor Swift. In the community, she’s an active member of the Facial Surgery Group Study Club and was honored with the Hope House Everyday Hero Volunteer Award for her service to survivors of domestic violence.
Crumbaugh Family Dentistry is more than a dental office, it’s an extension of Dr. Crumbaugh’s lifelong commitment to care, community, and doing right by every patient she meets.

Dr. Crumbaugh has previously volunteered with Hope House, a local domestic violence shelter, providing dental care to survivors in need. She also supports CAPA, a nonprofit supporting families and children affected by abuse. These efforts reflect our belief that strong communities are built through compassion, and that healthy smiles can be life-changing.
